Group Data Project Management Lead

This is a leading-by-doing role. You personally own the delivery of a country’s migration to the Global Data Platform end to end - from the plan agreed with country management, through analysis and build, to handover to the local team - coordinating the central domain teams, delivery partners, country IT and the business into one working plan. At the same time you lead the project managers across the programme: you set the delivery standard they work to, review their plans, keep reporting consistent, and step in where a project needs help. Across both, you keep the programme honest - realistic schedules, visible risks, managed dependencies and steering committees that hear the true status.

Address: Na Florenci 2116/15
Required education: School-leaving exam
Required languages: English (advanced), Czech or Slovak (benefitial)
Employment form: Full-time work
What will be your responsibilities?

You’ll be a great match if you can:

  • Run a full delivery lifecycle - from activation outputs and effort estimates through implementation, UAT and handover to the country team
  • Lead and grow other project managers - set the standard, review their plans and reporting, and coach them through the hard moments
  • Build and maintain a realistic plan across central domain teams, delivery partners, country IT and business stakeholders
  • Manage dependencies outside your direct control - ERP, POS/RMS and other in-flight programmes competing for the same people
  • Own one consolidated programme view - consistent status, risks, budget and effort across all running country projects
  • Run steering committees and status reporting that executives trust - clear RAG, real risks, concrete asks
  • Secure and protect business capacity - validation workshops, UAT and sign-offs planned around business availability
  • Drive delivery through a quality-gate SDLC - holding teams to defined artifacts and clear pass/fail moments
What do we expect from you?
  • Solid project management experience delivering data, BI or data warehouse programmes - ideally migrations
  • Experience leading other project managers - formally or as the senior PM others calibrate against
  • Experience running projects across multiple organisations at once - internal teams, vendors and business stakeholders
  • Strong planning and estimation discipline - you keep the plan real, not aspirational
  • Confidence with executives - steering committees, escalations and difficult status messages
  • Budget ownership experience - tracking spend and effort against plan
  • Strong structured communication - you are the single point of truth between technical teams and the business
  • Fluent English - you work with colleagues across multiple countries daily
  • Being based in Czechia, ideally Prague

Nice to have:

  • PRINCE2, PMP or similar certification; experience with stage-gate / quality-gate delivery
  • Experience building or running a PMO in a multi-country programme
  • Retail or pharma industry background
  • Czech language skills
  • Familiarity with the modern data stack - Databricks, Power BI, Azure
What do we offer?
  • Working for the largest pharma retail company in CEE with great expansion plans
  • A company with a meaningful purpose, an outstanding customer value proposition within an industry offering a resilient, non-cyclical growth pattern
  • Global-level job within group headquarters with a group-wide impact
  • Space for professional growth within a growing organization
  • Attractive financial compensation (salary and yearly bonuses)
  • Flexible working hours, possibility of 1 day home office/week
  • 5 weeks of holidays, discounts in Dr. Max pharmacies, meal vouchers, fully paid Multisport card, public transport contribution, referral bonus etc.
  • Modern offices in Prague and friendly colleagues on top!
