Group Head of Enterprise Architecture

Dr. Max is the leading pharmacy chain in Central Europe. In every country where we are active, Dr. Max is dedicated to improving the level of health care available by guaranteeing access to a broad assortment of medicines and pharmacy services. Pharmacies are currently present in 6 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Italy) with great expansion plans across Europe for the near future. Currently, we are looking for a Group Head of Enterprise Architecture, with the objective of leading the evolution of the application and infrastructure architecture for the whole organization.

What will be your responsibilities?
  • Strategic Vision and Leadership: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the enterprise architecture that aligns with the company's strategic objectives. Provide leadership and direction to the architecture team to ensure cohesive and integrated architectural solutions. Provide guidance to all IT senior managers on architecture
  • Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce governance frameworks, standards, and best practices for enterprise architecture across the organization. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior executives, business leaders, Group IT Application Managers and other stakeholders to understand business needs and provide architectural guidance. Facilitate discussions to align IT initiatives with business goals.
  • Architecture Development and Management: Oversee the development and management of the enterprise architecture, including the creation of blueprints, roadmaps, and models. Ensure that the architecture supports scalability, performance, and security. Ensure that digital solutions are aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the enterprise architecture. Ensure that architectural decisions comply with legal, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Resource Management: Manage the architecture team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Ensure that the team has the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality architectural solutions. Lead the country architects to design local roadmap
  • Budget Management: Manage the overall architecture budget, providing insights to optimize it. Suggest strategies to maximize the value of IT investments and drive cost efficiency.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship: Encourage knowledge sharing and mentorship within the architecture team. Provide guidance and support to team members to help them grow professionally and contribute to the success of the organization. Share best practices among the countries
  • Innovation and Technology Adoption: Drive innovation by identifying and evaluating emerging technologies that can enhance business capabilities. Lead the adoption of new technologies and ensure their integration into the existing architecture.
  • FinOps Management: Oversee the financial operations (FinOps) related to cloud services. Ensure cost optimization, budget management, and financial accountability within the architecture and IT team. Drive the recommendations to global and local teams
What do we expect from you?

 

  • Proven experience in a senior enterprise architecture role within a large and complex organisation
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align architecture with business goals
  • Experience with architecture governance, frameworks and best practices (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Deep understanding of IT systems design, integration, scalability, security and performance
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with C-level
  • Hands-on experience with cloud architecture and FinOps principles
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, mentor and develop international teams
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to drive innovation
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
