Lead Data Architect
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Data Architect to lead the architectural and governance efforts of our enterprise data platform. Our multi-tenant, multi-vendor platform, built on Azure (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI), integrates data from diverse sources to enable analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making across multiple countries. Our metadata-driven approach ensures standardisation, governance compliance, and high-quality deliveries.

- Define and maintain architectural standards across ingestion (ADF), processing (Databricks), and analytics (Power BI).
- Maintain clear documentation (SDLC, Quality Gates, Data Governance) and ensure it stays up to date.
- Establish and enforce Quality Gates for key deliverables, reviewing functional specifications and solution designs.
- Oversee schema management in Databricks Unity Catalog and lead cleanup activities.
- Define practices for RLS/CLS and user access control.
- Manage and support CI/CD processes for ADF, Databricks, orchestration tools, Power BI, and other framework components.
- Guide the evolution of the platform, including adoption of new technologies, standardised data serving patterns, and self-service BI capabilities.
- Coordinate with data engineers, analysts, governance teams, and vendors to align on standards and responsibilities.
- Support teams during onboarding or transitions to ensure smooth adoption of platform standards and tools.
- Master’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in large-scale data solutions (Data Lake/Lakehouse/Warehouse).
- Proven expertise with Azure stack (ADF, Data Lakehouse, Event Hub, Synapse, Databricks).
- Strong knowledge of data concepts, pipelines, ETL, and APIs.
- Experience in architecture methodologies, leadership, and cross-team collaboration.
- Fluent English (C1).
