Product Owner for Dynamic Pricing Solution

Dr. Max is the leading pharmacy chain in Central Europe. In every country where we are active, Dr. Max is dedicated to improving the level of health care available by guaranteeing access to a broad assortment of medicines and pharmacy services. Pharmacies are currently present in 6 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Italy) with great expansion plans across Europe for the near future. We are seeking a Product Owner with a technical background to lead our dynamic pricing solution. In this role, you will be responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and assessing work for our scrum team. Your tasks will include incorporating feature requests into the product roadmap, grooming and prioritizing backlog, and developing user stories with clear acceptance criteria. As a bridge between product and technology, you’ll play a crucial role in planning releases, coordinating sprints, and ensuring our products align with the company’s vision. Dynamic pricing stands as one of the cornerstone data products for our company. It plays a pivotal role in optimizing revenue, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maintaining competitiveness. By leveraging modern machine learning approaches, our dynamic pricing system adapts to real-time market conditions, customer behavior, and inventory levels. As a Product Owner, you will have a direct hand in shaping this critical product, ensuring its alignment with our strategic goals, and providing valuable insights to the Group management. Your technical expertise will be instrumental in driving its success and impact across the organization.

What will be your responsibilities?
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate the vision for dynamic pricing, ensuring alignment with overall company goals. Develop a strategic roadmap that outlines short-term and long-term objectives. 
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and groom the product backlog. Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate feature requests, enhancements, and bug fixes. Ensure that user stories are well-defined with clear acceptance criteria. 
  • Agile Leadership: Act as a bridge between product and technology teams. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups. Champion agile methodologies and foster a collaborative environment. 
  • Technical Insight: Leverage your technical background to understand the intricacies of our machine learning-driven pricing algorithms. Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and architects to make informed decisions.  Effectively utilize Azure resources including Databricks and foster onboarding of cloud native approaches. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly engage with stakeholders, including Group management. Provide updates on product progress, solicit feedback, and address concerns. Advocate for the product’s value and impact. 
  • Release Planning: Coordinate product releases, ensuring timely delivery of features. Work closely with development teams to define release scope, manage dependencies, and track progress. 
  • Performance Metrics and Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to pricing effectiveness, revenue, and customer satisfaction. Identify areas for improvement and drive optimization efforts. 
What do we expect from you?
  • Proven track record in product management within a data-centric environment. 
  • Solid technical background with experience in Data or Data Science. 
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps/JIRA and Azure technology stack including Azure Databricks (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, MS SQL Server)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
